The Macrozamia moorei or the Carnarvon Gorge Macrozamia is a cycad, a living, breathing prehistoric plant from the age of dinosaurs. It is a native of Queensland, Australia and once thought to be part of the Encephalartos family  the Macrozamia moorei develops long arcuate leaves; its character is typical of palm trees, with a pretty erect stem in the lower part, bringing an arhed crown. With age it reveals a beautiful brown/black beehive looking trunk and tree looks like a beautiful shuttlecock. Grows to a medium size and can reach 7 m tall. And have been known to live for over 1000 years so you will have plenty of years to enjoy it.
